New Abu Dhabi flyover to ease traffic jams

A Dh225 million flyover on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain road will link Baniyas East to Baniyas West. Construction on the project has begun.
The Abu Dhabi Municipality said the new bridge will ease traffic snarls.
The project includes the construction of an upper interchange linking the two areas and the nearby roads; changing of the existing Baniyas East roundabout into a traffic light intersection; construction of pedestrian stairs; and the demolition of existing pedestrian tunnels.
