GCC 29th Traffic Week inaugurated
Shaikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, led by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior in promoting the road safety and reducing accidents through spreading the traffic awareness among community members and road users.
He added that the efforts exerted by the ministry have so far reduced the road accidents, especially among the young drivers.
This came during the opening ceremony of the GCC’s 29th Traffic Week today at the traffic patrol department under the slogan: “Our goal is your safety,” which was attended by Lt. Colonel Shaikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, General Commander of Police in Umm al -Qaiwain and Sheikha Amna bint Ali Al Mualla, Director of Umm al -Qaiwain Educational Zone, Colonel Salem Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Deputy General Commander of Umm al -Qaiwain Police, as well as a number of officers and directors of government institutions in the emirate.
The guests attended the inaugural sessions of the ceremony performed by the students UAQ educational zone schools. They also toured the traffic show.
