"The new ring road has significantly reduced traffic snarls by 70 per cent," he said. "The new road has been used by the school buses to transport the students of adjacent and northern areas."
Meanwhile, a power outrage for over 90 minutes left students of Suhaila School to bear the scorching heat on the first day of the school. Students called their parents for help after the air conditioners stopped working at the school premises.
Sources at the school blamed the power outage on a technical failure. "The power was restored in collaboration with the bodies concerned."
