The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is to open the flyover from Al Quoz Industrial Area to Al Khail Road today.

The opening of this flyover is part of the Al Khail Road development project, Phase II, at an estimated cost of Dh850 million and the whole project is expected to be completed later this year.

Nabil Mohammed Saleh, Director of Roads, RTA, said, “The opening of the flyover is part of the RTA’s overall plan aimed to develop a network of roads, bridges, overpasses and tunnels to improve vehicular traffic movement and ease traffic flow from and to various parts of Dubai. The project is also a part of the Al Khail Development Project, one of the key strategic projects undertaken by the RTA.”

The RTA, he said, “attaches great importance to the infrastructure in keeping with the directives of our prudent leadership to increase roads traffic capacity, and curb gridlock in vital areas”. The flyover has been fitted with all equipment especially lighting works to serve its users as it streamlines traffic movement between Al Khail Road and Al Quoz Industrial Area.
