Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that since His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative, and up to Sunday at noon, the RTA received about 500 creative ideas and improvement comments (425 creative ideas and 75 improvement comments). Over the past two days, the RTA studied 102 ideas and 10 comments, and two comments relating to traffic safety were addressed.
In this context, Al Tayer issued an administrative circular obliging all RTA organisational units to react to the creative ideas and improvement remarks received via the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis, and sign them off within three working days from the day of receipt.
The circular is issued in support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative and the aspirations of the Dubai Government to bring happiness to people.
"The RTA will follow-up on all ideas and remarks received through the Smart Majlis, and task a work team to study all creative ideas and improvement comments which will improve the quality of services offered to RTA clients," said.
"The launch of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis is a manifestation of the open-door policy advocated by Shaikh Mohammed at conventional majlises where he frequently meets his people. Shaikh Mohammed is capitalising on modern technology towards opening a new communication channel with the residents of Dubai, be it citizens, residents, investors or tourists in order to heed to their views, suggestions and comments made with the purpose of uplifting the caliber of services delivered by public and private entities.
