Caroline Wozniacki believes the newfound contentment she has discovered with the support team she has in place off-court can help her to conquer the battles the Dane faces on it.

The world number 11 recently fired her previous coach Thomas Hogstedt after he reportedly opted to go on holiday rather than travel with her for training sessions here in the Middle East.

Hogstedt then joins Thomas Johansson and Ricardo Sanchez in having brief working relationships with the 23-year-old, with the latter alleging their short-lived arrangement was down to undue interference from Wozniacki’s father Piotr.

Wozniacki has since sought the services of former Danish doubles player Michael Mortensen and she is now confident she has finally found the right man to help guide her tennis game. “It’s great to have someone who I’ve known for so long,” Wozniacki said at the launch of Oriflame Cosmetics’ WTA product range. “He’s a good friend of the family and it’s important to have a really nice and good team who know me.

“I know my game very well and what I need to improve on. But — at the same time — you need to enjoy what you do and a big part of that is to have a team around you where the atmosphere is good. If you enjoy what you do, you work harder and the results come. “He’s going to be there until Miami and then we’ll take it from there. But, he also has a family at home and he cannot travel all of the time.
