“Ticket sales for the men’s event actually began very fast. We are actually sold out. We have received a great response from the fans,” said Ben Nichols, Press Officer, Dubai Tennis Championships. Even for Tuesday’s matches, there are no tickets available. Tickets are very reasonably priced.

“Nikolay Devydenko, who won the season ending Masters in London, will be in action tomorrow. So we expect to see a lot of Russian fans on Centre Court.

“Also, Novak Djokovic, the defending champion, will play his doubles match on Tuesday. Novak is very popular here. He brings lot of Serbian fans to the stadium. So tomorrow is going to be another exciting day of tennis as well,” Nichols added.

This championship is very popular with the top players. Every top player loves playing here. World number one Roger Federer may have pulled out with a lung infection, but there are still six of the world’s top 10 players at the Dubai championship.

The Dubai Tennis Championships offer 500 ATP points to the winner. Outside the Grand Slams and the Masters events, this championship is one of the biggest in the world.
