Rekeetha Claims a Double
DUBAI - Rekeetha Periera claimed a double in the Marbello Resort Junior Tennis tournament.
She outclassed Rai Sen Gupta 6-0 6-0 in the Girls Under 12 final and followed it up by winning the Girls Under 14 event edging out Najla Gabr 6-1 6-0.
In the boys Under 12 final, second seed Fahd Janahi upset top seed Karim Najla in straight sets 6-3 6-1.
Fahd and Faris Janahi claimed the boys Under 12 doubles title with a 6-3 6-1 win over Karim Najla and Christian Linge.
In the boys Under 14 final, Kareem Alaf outplayed his doubles partner Jordan Janizen 6-1 6-0 to win the title.
Karim won the doubles title with Jordan getting the better of Fahd Janahi and Fares Janahi 6-2 7-6.
The prizes were given away by Aida Armali, Marketing Manager of Bank of Sharjah, and Anil Singh, General Manager of Marbella Resort, Sharjah.
