In the boys Under-12, Christian Linge, seeded 4, overcame Antony Popyrin 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 in a match lasting over two hours, a press release said.
Antony started off in a hurry breaking Christian three times to win the first set 6-2. However Christian fought back to win the second set 6-4 and he took the third set 6-2.
In another close match Anton Blizniuk beat Mujahid Khan 6-3, 0-6, 6-2.
In the first set Anton with his deep groundstrokes moved Mujahid around at will to break serves twice to take the set 6-3. However left-handed Mujahid raised his game hitting winners to take the second set at love. In the decider the games went close. However the more aggressive Anton held his nerve to take the set 6-2 and the match.
In the boys Under 14 Singles matches went as per the seedings.
Third seed Arjuna Ajay moved into the quarter-finals with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Irshaad Patel. In other matches 4th seed Rishabh Ramnath blanked Syed Husaini 6-0 6-0, seventh seed Joel Jacob defeated Daler Amirbek 6-3 6-2, Punnet Varier outplayed Akash Bisht 6-1 6-1 and Mohammed Alghawi thrashed Varun Shankar 6-1 6-0.
In boys Under 12, Adham Gabr beat Zen Manwani 6-0 6-0, Fares Janahi defeated Kevin Mathew 6-0 6-2, Fahad Janahi thrashed Faisal Zachriah 6-0 6-1, Karim Najia blanked Bharat Amrithraj 6-0 6-0, Druv Bhal thrashed Douglas Hardy 6-0 6-0 Viktor Jovi beat Nabeel Abdurahman 6-1 6-1.
