WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for its Android and Windows Phone beta versions. 
If you are using the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.18.57 and Windows beta version 2.18.28, chances are you might have already seen the update. 
The new feature, ' Add group description' tab will soon be placed in WhatsApp groups. Tech websites have reported that any group member can add a 500-words description to the group. But the access might be restricted to admins in the future. 
The new feature can help users added in any group understand the purpose of the the group they have been added to.  
Once a description in added, a message pops up stating the update. Once deleted, another blue notification appears in the group that it has been removed. 
The edit group description is currently available for all group member but might be restricted to group admins in the future. 
Still, in beta-testing, the feature is expected to roll out on iPhone devices in a few days.
