Apple is set to unveil updates to all its operating systems, including iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). However, older iPhone versions and iPad Air will not be able to upgrade to the new iOS 13 which is the new mobile OS for iPhones and iPads.
Apple will end iOS 13 support for the iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 because these devices are not powerful enough to support iOS 13, The Indian Express quoted iPhonesoft.fr.
The older iPhones and iPad Air will be limited to iOS 12, which Apple released last year, and is likely to be around considering Apple usually provides four years of software support before it pulls the plug.
Further, iOS 13 is bringing several features to iPhones and iPads, including a system-wide dark mode. Also, Apple's own apps will introduce updates including screen time, reminders, maps, health, iMessages and books, besides a selection of iPad-specific features.
