Realme, a brand carved out of the Chinese company Oppo, announced the launch of its flagship of the year, Realme 2 Pro, in India on Thursday.
With competitive prices under Rs20,000 for three variants, it is aimed to cater to demanding younger buyers and millennials who demand high specifications at lower prices.
The smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch, full HD+ display with a dewdrop notch and is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor and comes with three configurations: 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage (Rs13,990); 6GB RAM with 64GB of storage (Rs15,990); and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage (Rs17,990). The firm aims to provide high specifications at low prices.

It also has a 3500mAh battery that allows users to use the phone for a whole day with ease. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back and the phone supports face recognition.
It has 16MP rear dual camera and 16MP front camera. It targets college students and young office-goers.
The Realme 2 Pro will be exclusively available on Flipkart from October 11. It also has plans to make its UAE foray later this year.
Speaking at the launch, Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India, said:, "With our first offering in the mid-range segment, we bring to you Realme 2 Pro, packed with a powerful processor, dewdrop full screen and much more. We are a one million-plus brand now in less than four months which we have achieved with just two phones in the market. We have entered markets like Indonesia, Vitenam, and entering the UAE in November. By early next year, we will be having 10 global markets."
Sky Li, global CEO of Realme, said: "We will continue to bring more beautiful designs, high-quality products and exceptional services especially for Indian youth."
The firm also unveiled the entry-level Realme C1, with an introductory price of Rs6,999. It is the first notched full-screen device in its price segment with a 6.2-inch display.
The Realme C1 is equipped with a 13 MP + 2 MP dual camera lens and a front 5MP camera, plus a 4230mAh battery.
It will be available on Flipkart from October 11.
