After Samsung's well-received release of Samsung Note 8, it was Apple's turn to grab the spotlight at Tuesday's grand event marking the company's flagship phone's tenth anniversary - iPhone.
The keynote - seen online around the world - was held at the new Steve Jobs Theatre.

One of the biggest questions revolving around the release was how much will the new iPhone X cost? Well, several reports from both the Verge and Gizmodo point to a likely price - a staggering $1,000 (roughly Dh3,600) - the tenth anniversary 'edge-to-edge' display phone is priced at $999.
But, here's the catch - the iPhone X (ten) will not cost around Dh3,600 but a whopping Dh4,099 for the 64GB model and Dh4,729 for the 256GB model. The 5.8 inch phone is available in Silver and Space Gray.
That's at least nearly Dh500 more than the announced price of $999.
However, there are financing options available for the die-hard fans, who don't want to break the bank yet.

But surely, the price tag comes with some nifty features. Right? Here are some cool features that were leaked online before the launch event:
- Portrait Lighting - The new camera will support different kinds of lighting conditions when taking portraits. These will reportedly enhance the capabilities of the native flash whilst taking photos.
- New video speeds - The highest video speed is 1080p HD at 240 fps.
- Face ID - This is the new facial recognition feature that will allow users to unlock their iPhones by looking at it.

- The look - A sneak peek into how the new smartphone will look was carried out based on the icon found within the files.

- 3D Emojis - Animojis are similar to your regular Emojis except that they move.
