Samsung's creating quite a frenzy at Dubai malls, and dangling the all-new Galaxy Note9 sure is a good way to attract people.
The tech giant is currently busy with its 'Treasure Hunt', in which lucky and persevering people get to win Samsung's new flagship smartphone.
Samsung is giving away 27 Note9s throughout the three-day promotion, one for each hour from 12 noon to 9pm.
During the kick-off on Friday at City Centre Mirdif, a total of 1,025 individuals participated throughout the nine-hour hunting period.
Today, at Mall of the Emirates, as of 7pm, that number had already been surpassed, with 1,338 having joined the quest.
Visitors to Samsung's stand at City Centre Mirdiff and Mall of the Emirates, meanwhile, clocked in at 2,630 and 3,566 (as at 7pm), respectively.
Persons have to download the Note9 Quest app in order to participate. (Interesting observation: according to figures provided to Khaleej Times, 229 of the 1,025 participants at City Centre Mirdiff downloaded the app on their iOS device, while at Mall of the Emirates, it was 253 out of 1,338.)
Tomorrow will be The Dubai Mall's turn to host Samsung's event. And if the first two days' figures are any indication, it is expected that a bigger number will turn out.
And that serves as a cue: you still have that chance tomorrow - 10 more chances, in fact: nine during the regular promo period, plus a bonus opportunity after that because Samsung will be holding a draw for one more Note9 for all those who participated but did not win during the three days.
