If WhatsApp is the culprit for your draining battery, there might soon be a solution.
The platform has been planning to roll out a dark mode feature for its users. In the works for the last couple of months, it may be launched this month or early next year, according to a Hindustan Times report.
The dark mode will reverse the white background of WhatsApp to black reducing the strain on your eyes. And as is the case with dark modes, it will help you conserve your battery.
Google has in the past admitted that the dark mode draws about 43 per cent lesser power at full brightness compared to normal mode, said the report.
Some of Google's popular applications like YouTube, Google Maps already support dark mode.
