Mobile devices maker Honor boosted its innovation-driven ecosystem with the launch of its first 5G smartphone plus other products ready to advance its 'all-scenario' Internet of Things strategy.
Honor - the sub-brand of Chinese tech giant Huawei - made the announcement during a live-streamed Press conference.
"Our unique portfolio of smart and cutting-edge products has expanded our IoT ecosystem and created an ubiquitous and seamless experience for our global customers," Honor Global president George Zhao said.
Citing Canalys research, Zhao pointed out that 41 per cent of surveyed respondents carry more than one device at work or on the go; this rises to 68 per cent when at home.
This, he says, "demonstrates an increase in demand for more intelligent and digital experiences". The View 30 Pro comes with the latest Kirin 990 5G chip - the same hardware being used in Huawei's newest foldable device, the Mate Xs, which was introduced this week. It will be available in Middle East markets soon.
It also features the latest triple-lens Matrix camera system, which Honor promises will produce "amazing" photos and cinema-grade videos.
Honor also announced the 9X Pro, featuring a Kirin 810 AI chipset that is powered by Huawei's new computing architecture to allow more sophisticated and diverse AI applications. Also featuring a triple-lens camera, it will be on sale in Saudi Arabia next month, with the UAE to follow soon after.
Those who will register on Honor's website for the product will have the chance to get freebies including gold coins and a gift bundle worth SR999.
The devices come with the revamped Huawei App Gallery, featuring a wide variety of secure, productive applications that will cater to all users and interests. Also revealed was the MagicBook 14 and 15 - marking the first time a device from Honor's PC category will be made available to global markets. It features advanced security and up to 10 hours of battery life. Honor also introduced the new fitness-focused Magic Earbuds and EasyFit series straps exclusively for the MagicWatch 2.
