Audio equipment maker Bose unveiled two high-end home entertainment systems in the UAE, promising to "crush the limitations of single-speaker performance".

The Massachusetts-based company launched the SoundTouch 300, a minimalist-design soundbar.

The device also doubles as a wireless sound system; it is Wi-Fi-, Bluetooth- and NFC-enabled, allowing it to pair with a device and stream from services such as Spotify, Pandora and others. It also has 4K passthrough, guaranteeing compatibility with present and future sound technologies.

The SoundTouch 300 "fills a gap in the market", said Pete Ogley, general manager of Bose audio-for-video. "We pushed the boundaries of size, sound and design like nothing else available in the category."

The system also uses exclusive PhaseGuide arrays, which send signals to the left and right of the room it is in, enabling listeners to hear what you don't see. Bose's proprietary QuietPort technology also ensures deep bass at any volume without distortion.

It will retail for Dh2,999, with optional bass modules for Dh2,999 and acoustically-matched surround sound speakers starting at Dh1,299.

The higher-end of Bose's double launch, meanwhile, the Lifestyle 650, boasts the "most-refined Bose design ever".

The system debuts the smallest satellite speakers in Bose's history, four new OmniJewel speakers. Each includes new high-excursion transducers positioned "in opposing fashion for dramatic output".

Aside from the same QuietPort feature, its 4K passthrough has six HDMI inputs, and its Adaptiq technology provides optimal acoustics for any space.

Ogley guaranteed that the Lifestyle 650 is worth its Dh16,599 price tag.

"For people who want the finest quality in sound, aesthetics, materials and build, there's nothing like it. When it's seen and heard for the first time, it simply suspends belief," he said.

Bose also launched the Lifestyle 600, which features several of the same luxuries of the Lifestyle 650, but with four larger Jewel Cube satellite speakers and one Jewel Cube centre channel speaker.
