The WhatsApp outage that has affected users in the UAE and in other parts of the globe has been resolved, users said on social media.

Earlier, the app stopped working for several users in the UAE and across the globe, as seen on the website Downdetector.com. According to some users of the app, they were not able send voice recordings or photos.

The latest live outage map shows that the issue is gradually subsiding with the UAE no longer marked in red.
