Intel has revealed the latest iteration of its industry-leading PC chip family as it leverages its expertise to deliver all-around productivity for users that would further strengthen the PC market.?
The Silicon Valley company introduced 11th Gen Intel Core processors at a virtual event as part of IFA Berlin. The chip series, with Intel's Iris Xe graphics, is code-named 'Tiger Lake'.?
The processors are a "major leap forward in real-world processor performance and are the best laptop processors we have built", said Gregory Bryant, Intel executive vice-president and general manager of its client computing group.
"From productivity and content creation to entertainment and gaming, when you pick a system powered by 11th Gen Intel Core - especially one of our new Intel Evo co-engineered and verified designs - you know you are getting the best laptop experience possible."
The 11th Gen processors promise more immersive and AI-enhanced experiences; over 20 per cent faster office productivity; advanced content creation with up to 2.7 times faster photo editing and up to two times quicker video editing; enhanced battery efficiency; and up to twice the performance in gaming, among several others.?
Along with the processors, the company also announced Intel Evo, a new platform brand that represents the "best" laptops powered by Intel's new hardware.?
Evo machines must comply with four key experience indicators, including consistent battery responsiveness, system wake from sleep in less than a second, nine hours or more of real-world battery life on systems with FHD displays and fast charging with up to a four-hour charge in under 30 minutes on devices with FHD screens.?
The platform also features best-in-class connectivity - wired, wireless and universal Thunderbolt 4 - as well as premium audio, webcam and display in a super-thin build.?
