Saphyte set to disrupt CRM market

UAE-based technology company is set to disrupt the global CRM market through Saphyte by Loyica, which is expected to launch commercial operations globally during the second quarter of 2020.
CRM - customer relationship management - is a game-changing concept in today's competitive and tech-driven corporate world as no business can thrive without an advanced CRM software marketed by Western and US companies such as Salesforce, Zoho, Hubspot, Pipedrive and Microsoft, among others.
But now the UAE company is set to change this. Saphyte by Loyica is expected to launch commercial operations during the second quarter of 2020; hundreds of businesses across the UAE and select businesses in some countries have been successfully using the trial version of Saphyte since its soft launch in the last quarter of 2019.

Loyica, a Dubai-based company, was established in late-2016 to develop top-of-the-line technology solutions to help small businesses and startups by providing end-to-end digital solutions of their corporate problems as well as by offering centralised tech systems to fintech, martech and HRtech industries.
Ali Homadi, its founder and CEO, has a clear vision for Loyica, which is a derivation of the term 'logica' - a Latin word meaning logic. He is committed to make Loyica an objective-oriented or purpose-driven tech company that provides exceptional services to local and international startups and small and medium enterprises.
"Saphyte is a home-grown CRM system that helps you streamline all of your corporate activities and integrate them into one powerful platform. It has sales and marketing tools designed to improve business efficiency and productivity," Homadi told Khaleej Times.
"Saphyte helps you manage your customer data, conduct marketing tactics and strategies, and identify opportunities for the long haul. Overall, Saphyte has been proven to help businesses achieve growth and build long-term customer relationships," he added.
To a question on how he derived the idea for Saphyte by Loyica, he said it was brought to life in 2017 with a sole purpose to help businesses achieve their sales target.
"And when we are talking about sales, we need to talk about customer retention through CRM software," the Loyica founder said.
Referring to CRM magazine, he said around 91 per cent of businesses with 10 or more employees now use CRM software. "This means that SMEs have found it useful more than ever," he said.
Referring to another report by Nucleus Research, he said in companies that use a CRM, the average return on their technology investment is $8.71 for each dollar spent.
USPs for Saphyte
Homadi, an enthusiastic entrepreneur, said Saphyte's trial version performed successfully as hundreds of businesses have installed the CRM software because of its unique features. It is the first CRM that is developed and registered in the UAE and set to disrupt the growing market, which is expected to reach $80 billion by 2025.
Elaborating, he said Saphyte is software-as-a-service (SaaS) that is scaleable and flexible and has additional modules, tools and custom processes, and can be customised according to business requirements. "Saphyte adapts to you; you do not adapt to Saphyte," he said.
Moreover, he said there is no setup fee in using Saphyte CRM and subscribers just need to sign a deal, select the number of users, complete the purchase and start using the system.
"It has customised dashboards with drag-and-drop functions to move the widgets around. The dashboard gives you a one-page overview of all the information you want to know regarding your client, sales, marketing and support management," he said.
"We are proud to introduce Saphyte as the first locally-developed CRM in the UAE that is globally competitive cost- and performance-wise," Homadi added.
To a question, he said Loyica has amassed corporate customers and has clients in the retail, financial, real estate, banking and insurance industries. "Loyica can serve any industry including health, education, aviation and transport, among others," he said.
About the potential growth market, he said Loyica aspires to expand globally. "Saphyte by Loyica does not have a specific target market because it is a CRM that is flexible and adaptable to any industry," he said.
On funding, Homadi said the initial seed round was funded by the founder himself.
"I am not looking for any funding until we are in a stage with good numbers of users," he said. "I believe Saphyte has the potential to be the next unicorn tech company."
CRM for all
Jamie Bueno, operations coordinator at Loyica, said Saphyte provides an integrated platform for sales and marketing with customized dashboards, quotations and inventory management to help manage retail operations seamlessly.
"Saphyte is a database for all customer-related information and it provides comprehensive reporting tools to measure business growth and success," she said.
Alya Kahwaji, chief marketing officer of Rattan House, said Saphyte is going to disrupt the growing CRM market by challenging global technology giants in months to come.
"Some problems such as the absence of centralised storage of data, difficulty in organising thousands of contacts, missed follow-ups of leads and deals, data is not being updated in real-time and double work because of duplicate information, can be permanently handled by Saphyte CRM," Kahwaji said.
