Possessing over a decade of experience, Prestige Constructions has seen phenomenal growth due to its commitment to high quality construction while maintaining time and budget constraints. Armed with the latest construction technology coupled with best industry practices, expert personnel, strong leadership and teamwork, the organisation has successfully executed several projects of varying range and stature.
"There has always been an emphasis on sustainable growth in Prestige. It has embarked and crossed with a strategic and planned view that reflects on each milestone. Our highly skilled workforce has grown to more than 3,000 employees, and we have fully equipped functional offices in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. We have also invested into a new state-of-the-art staff accommodation centre in Dubai Investments Park," says Engr. Nur Alam Choudhury, CEO of Prestige Constructions LLC.
"The journey of Prestige over the last decade since its inception has been a tumultuous one having its ebb and flow. However, what I never compromised was quality construction and commitment to timely delivery of the projects. My endeavour has always been to make Prestige a benchmark through consistent delivery of globally standardised quality of construction," he adds.
Its portfolio of projects accomplished across the UAE demonstrates its dedication to actualise any dream into reality. Prestige Constructions is experienced in educational edifices, healthcare buildings, residential and commercial towers, as well as industrial infrastructure.
"The dedication, perfection, quality, leadership and excellence manifested in each project by our team is stunning and exceptional. The company has strengthened its impact in making its presence felt in the construction industry across the UAE and successfully created a name," Engr. Choudhury says.
The commitment and quality showcased by Prestige have earned it a name and reputation with global and local recognition, as well as numerous Quality and Business Awards across the US, UK and European countries.
"Recently, Prestige has been awarded a contract worth Dh952 million for the construction of residential buildings (Riviera Project), which faces the Dubai Canal, and the Boulevard by Azizi Developments, which is one of the leading private developers in the UAE," he adds.
The dream envisaged by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum was to create a stable and affluent country with a robust commercial backbone. Diversification remains the key to achieve sustainable growth in the UAE and the federal government under the guidance of its two visionary leaders, The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is optimistic about encouraging the non-oil sector to maintain its significant role in the country's economy.
According to Engr. Choudhury, business-friendly regulatory mechanism and ample liquidity are the reasons behind the growth in the construction sector. Further, it has been buoyed by the liberalisation of real estate and property laws.
Dubai was the first emirate in the UAE to introduce the concept of freehold real estate projects followed by Ajman. One-stop locations for paperwork and 100 per cent foreign ownership have also intensified this particular sector.
"Such policies and corporate culture are not only relevant but effective as well for the construction industry to boom. If we compare the cost of construction in the UAE, it is much lower than most developed countries. The continued influx of expatriates from all over the world has turned this country into a hub for some of the best projects across the globe," he says.
Noteworthy to mention is that smart functioning, as well as prompt and appropriate action by the Authority, has been able to prevent monopoly and promote fair competition that leads to transparency in the overall business scenario.
"Truly the UAE is a land full of opportunities - a desert transformed into a green haven; a dreamland of Sheikh Zayed. Prestige Constructions is indebted to this country and feels proud to be a part of UAE's success journey," he says.
Looking ahead, Engr. Choudhury visualises new insights in the strategy of Prestige Constructions to help it to grow as the most trusted and reputed name in the construction Industry across the globe.
"Further in tune with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed's Green Economy and Green Building Initiative under the slogan: 'A Green Economy for Sustainable Development', I would like to see myself planning and executing more environment friendly constructions as per the norms of Dubai's Green Buildings Regulations and Specifications so that Prestige can also be a part of achieving a balance between the economic development and environmental protection in the UAE," he concludes.
