Thomsun Group is a multifaceted business conglomerate constituting of a diversi­fied group of companies, founded by K V Thomas and V T John in 1976. It is headquartered in Dubai, the UAE, with operations in GCC and India.

The group today has a presence in more than 20 core business segments, with a team of around 3,000 people. Since its inception, the company has embarked on many milestone ventures in its pursuit to become the highly diversified group it is today. These areas of business include the food processing and ready to cook products division, printing, packaging, pre-press and digital signage, display solutions, digital storage, logistics, music instruments retailing, consumer electronics retail, professional audio distribution, music schools, supermarkets, bakery and confectionery, electri­cal solutions distribution, mechanical products distribution and the electrical and mechanical products manufacturing division. Built on strong fundamentals, Thomsun has emerged as a market leader in its fields of operation through its focused approach, strong market intelligence, attention to details sound deployment of modern technology and the utmost commitment to quality.

NOTABLE VENTURES

Thomsun Group has pioneered ventures within diversified business segments in the UAE, GCC and India for more than 40 years. Al Mawrid Print­ing and Advertising was established in 1980 to provide solutions for the region's growing printing and packaging requirements. East Fish Co. was inaugurated in 1989 to cater to the Middle East's need for ready-to-eat seafood. The company set a benchmark by setting up an automated seafood processing plant, specialising in the procurement, processing, quality control and delivery of sustain­ably sourced seafood. In 1990, Thomsun Trading Establishment became the authorised distributor of the complete range of Yamaha musical and audio products in the UAE. With its online and offline stores, the company has established itself as a household name in the Middle East's music and audio products industry.

Established in 1993, Reprotronics has become synonymous within the graphics arts and BTL vertical, providing state-of-the-art solutions us­ing the latest technologies available. The group then went on to set up Thomsun Industries, which specialises in the distribution of electrical and mechanical products. The venture identifies itself as a market leader for electrical fittings, metal and pipes manufacturing. To that end, the group founded T-Mech, a stand-alone brand which serves as its manufacturing division for PPR, PEX and pipe support systems. Here, raw materials are manufactured to meet the needs of both residential and commercial requirements in the region.

The latest ventures of Thomsun Group include electrical and mechanical manufacturing facility in Ajman, fully automated plant for the production of bakery and confectionery products, as well as a new seafood processing line for ready-to-cook and meat products.
