Emirates Aviation University (EAU), founded in 1991, is the education arm of the Emirates Group, a name known worldwide for its commitment to the highest standards of quality in every aspect of its business. EAU, previously known as Dubai Aviation College, was one of the first private educational and training institutions to provide aviation-related programmes.

The university is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education-Higher Education Affairs and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), as well as by international licensing and awarding bodies, and offers an extensive range of postgraduate and undergraduate programmes designed to provide students with high standard aviation education and training.

Our programmes are a result of a close collaboration with the aviation industry, in particular, the Emirates Group, to meet the needs for new and specialised competence. We are here to cater to the growing competition in the global aviation industry which requires airline companies to have qualified and skilled professionals. The aviation industry is continually growing, and so is the need for competent aviation professionals with technical skills and expertise.

EAU is the first non-federal university to receive a five stars QS rating in the region, achieving five stars in teaching, employability, facilities, inclusiveness and social responsibilities, and four stars in academic development and internationalisation categories.

Programme Variety

We offer a suite of unique, specialised and internationally-recognised post-graduate programmes in aviation management, aviation safety and security, logistics and supply chain management, mechanical and aerospace engineering and international human resources management. Our MBA in aviation management was awarded five stars QS rating in the Programme Strength category.

All our engineering programmes are recognised by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) in the UK and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). We offer a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Aeronautical Engineering and a number of applied bachelor programmes in aerospace, avionics, mechanical and aircraft maintenance engineering. We also offer a (BSc) in software engineering.

Our bachelor's of business management in aviation management, logistics and supply chain management are both unique programmes that meet the needs of both industries. The UAE is a hub for higher education with close to 100 accredited universities and institutions. In September 2017, the Ministry of Education UAE launched the National Strategy for Higher Education 2030, which sets out to build and achieve the highest scientific and professional education standards to serve the UAE's future generations.

The commitment of Dubai and the UAE to both higher education and the aerospace industry is aligned with the vision of Emirates Aviation University 'To be one of the world's leading institutions of higher education in aviation-related disciplines'.

One of the major challenges markets and industries encounter is the reduced availability of skilled and qualified graduates due to increased competition from both the aviation and other industries, namely, telecommunication, oil and gas, e-commerce and cloud computing.

Our role as a committed university is to provide a pipeline of highly skilled graduates, enhance their employability and ensure the industry has a pool of talent with the relevant skills and knowledge.

Internship Opportunities

Emirates Aviation University provides its students with a valuable six-month internship opportunity with the Emirates Group. This opportunity is provided to selected undergraduate students in the third year of their studies, who distinguish themselves in their academic performance.

Students enrolled in this exclusive internship programme will receive a monthly stipend to cover their costs, and accumulate up to 15 credit hours towards their qualification.
