As India celebrates its Independence Day, the nation’s growth story continues to be fueled by its people through their resilience, adaptability, and potential. In a rapidly evolving skills-driven economy, investing in human capital is no longer optional, but rather a strategic imperative. Today, the conversation on India’s growth is incomplete without acknowledging the critical role of upskilling in shaping a future-ready workforce.
At the forefront of this mission is the EFSIM Skills Development Academy, a subsidiary of EFS Facilities Services Group, a global leader in integrated facilities management. Established in early 2024 in Aligarh, the Academy features state-of-the-art infrastructure and industry-relevant training aligned with global benchmarks, founded with a clear purpose of bridging the skills gap and enhancing workplace readiness.
As an authorised centre accredited by Takamol for Saudi Arabia’s Skill Verification Program (SVP) and an affiliate of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India, EFSIM Skills Development Academy bridges the gap between skill development and employment. It offers hands-on technical training, standardized skill assessments, and direct placement opportunities both in India and the Gulf region. EFSIM plays a transformative role by enabling individuals to acquire employable skills, paving the way for sustainable livelihoods and financial independence.
The Academy’s programmes cover high-demand trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and welding, alongside the SVP Refresher Course for Saudi Arabia-bound candidates. These programmes are designed to equip candidates with job-ready skills that meet the technical and compliance requirements of both domestic and international employers.
Our vision extends far beyond a single campus in Aligarh. Plans are underway to expand to other cities in India, bringing our training and assessment capabilities closer to India’s emerging talent hubs. We are also working with universities and vocational institutions through our Academic Outreach Program, embedding industry-relevant skills into education systems and creating direct talent pipelines for the industry.
Beyond upskilling, EFS’s commitment to India’s growth is also reflected in our role as a gateway for global career pathways. Through structured and ethical recruitment processes, we provide Indian talent with opportunities across our global operations, especially in the Gulf and Europe.
On this Independence Day, as we celebrate the spirit of freedom, we also recognise that true independence comes from the ability to realise one’s potential. With every skill certified, every career launched, and every life transformed, EFSIM and EFS are helping to shape an India that is not just growing but thriving in the global arena.
