JTS Medical Centre has expanded its services by recently opening the dental department with paediatric dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontic specialities. The department provides a comprehensive dento-oral examination, root canal treatments, crowns and bridges, gum disease treatments, zoom teeth whitening, veneer, lumineers, ceramic reconstruction, comprehensive oral rehabilitation for children, tooth extraction and dental implants.

The Dental department is led by Specialist Paediatric Dentist Dr Sandeep Malhotra, who brings two decades of experience in the field of dentistry with a specialisation in paedodontics and preventive children dentistry. He has mastered a holistic and systematic approach towards outpatient paediatric dental care and is armed with specialised training in performing difficult cases involving complete oral rehabilitation under nitrous oxide sedation as well as general anaesthesia. He is also highly skilled in all dental techniques of prevention, intervention, and correction of dental disease in adults.

Dr Radhika Naidu, Specialist Pediatrician, added: "It will be good to have comprehensive dental care for our paediatric and adolescent patients under one roof. Nowadays, early childhood dental caries is very common and untreated caries can lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing and learning. These cavities are treatable and preventable. Dr Malhotra's expertise in preventive paediatric dentistry and the guidance of erupting teeth will benefit our paediatric patients, and I am glad to have him onboard our team of experts."
