Arbor School celebrates first cohort’s global university offers

The World’s Best School for Environmental Action is celebrating a major milestone as its first Year 13 cohort secures offers from leading universities across the UK, US, Europe and the UAE. The results highlight the strength of Arbor’s British Sixth Form, which combines A Levels, BTECs, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and a personalised futures counselling programme.

Students have already received offers across architecture, medicine, environmental and sports sciences, engineering, economics, business and fashion. Several have earned multiple offers and more than $1 million in scholarships, reflecting both academic depth and Arbor’s tailored post-16 pathways.

Year 13 student Anna Thompson, who received offers from top-ranked UK universities to study Psychology, described this as the reward for years of effort.

“Arbor has transformed my confidence in both my academic ability and my personal growth,” she said. “My offers feel like a reflection of what I’ve achieved here.”

Alexander Renner, who secured eight offers across the US and UAE in Business, Entrepreneurship and Analytics, said: “Arbor has taught me independence, resilience and the value of hard work. Receiving my offers showed me how far dedication and support can take you.”

Julieta Luengo, who earned offers in Environmental and Civil Engineering across the UK, US and Europe, credits Arbor’s challenge and inspiration.

“Arbor pushed me beyond my comfort zone,” she said. “Meeting people like Jane Goodall and Isatou Ceesay shaped who I am today.”

Head Girl Katie Keeshan, holding offers in Politics and International Relations, added: “Arbor supported me academically, but also with leadership opportunities that shaped the person I’m becoming.”

Principal Gemma Thornley said: “This inaugural cohort is a proud moment for Arbor. Our students are stepping into global universities with strong qualifications, confidence and purpose.”
