Dhananjay Datar, Chairman and Managing Director of Al Adil Trading Company, talks about what Al Adil has on offer for shoppers and how he will be celebrating Diwali with his family.

"For Indians, Diwali is one of the most important festivals. For people living in this part of the world, Diwali is the time when they recreate the magic of their hometown. For youngsters who have been brought up outside India, Diwali is the time when they really understand the Indian culture and festive traditions.


"At Al Adil, we have taken all necessary steps to ensure that our Indian friends relish the festivities in its full fervor. We have lined up a wide range of products in order to provide a wholesome Diwali experience this year," he said. "The product lineup includes decorative diyas, pooja items, a wide range of food products, as well as a host of decorative items. One the most prominent festivals, Diwali is a celebration of the victory of good over evil."

"We have taken all necessary steps to ensure that our Indian friends do not miss out on the festivities. We have a range of beautifully designed decorative dandias that will add style and elegance. Datar said that he will be celebrating Diwali with his wife and sons, all of whom have joined the family business.

"My Wife, Vandana, is our finance manager, my eldest son, Hrishikesh, looks after imports, exports, and various legal aspects of the business, and my youngest son, Rohit, looks after sourcing and procurement. Sadly, we do not have any extended family that live in Dubai - all of our extended family live in their homes in India."
