Shuttlers Princess, Jenalyn enter final

Princess Ferlyn Castro Arenas and Jenalyn Dimaculangan cruised into the final of women doubles at 41st India Club UAE Open Badminton Tournament on Saturday.

In the semifinals round of women doubles, Princess Ferlyn Castro Arenas-Jenalyn Dimaculangan came up with an impressive show to beat Bharathy Latheesh-Revathy Latheesh 21-7, 21-12. In the quarter finals, Princess Ferlyn Castro Arenas-Jenalyn Dimaculangan defeated Bharathy Latheesh-Revathy Latheesh 21-7, 21-12.

In the under-13 girls singles semifinal, Tanika Sequeira downed Rishitha Rajith 21-7, 21-10 while in the second semifinal, Rinitha Rajith overcame Trisha Joshi 21-16, 21-11.

In the quarterfinals of under-17 girls singles, Arunima K. overcame the challenge of Snigdha Sarkar, beating her opponent 21-19, 14-21, 21-18 while Nida Najeeb beat Sanika Gaurav 21-12, 21-16 in two straight sets.

In the men's singles, Dea Adi Rangga won the quarterfinal round by beating his Iqbal Tariyanto Wahyu 21-11, 21-19 while on the women's side, Nida Najeeb reached the semifinal with a 21-3, 21-2 win against Farah Hamirani.
