Seemar well stacked at races at Meydan on Thursday

Dubai - Dubai-based Indian conditioner leads the UAE Trainers' Championship with 42 winners

Following on from Super Saturday, the traditional dress rehearsal for the Dubai World Cup, it is back to the starting gates at Meydan as the Racecourse hosts a UAE's domestic horse race meeting.
But Thursday evening will yet again be a closed-door affair with the iconic arena restricted to horse racing connections, officials, and those related to racing, following measures taken by the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The card though features some exciting fare and five-time UAE Champion trainer Satish Seemar would look to put even more daylight between him and the rest in the Trainers' Championship as the domestic season heads towards its conclusion.
The Dubai-based conditioner, who trains at the Zabeel Stables, currently leads with 42 winners and the Indian has a runner in all six races on the card.
Seemar saddles Underwriter, the mount of stable jockey Richard Mullen, in the Longines La Grande Classique, a maiden over six-furlongs, in the opening race of the evening.
The pair team up once again in the Longines Hydroconquest, an eight-furlong handicap, with Mazeed, the six-year-old son of 2002 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry.
Seemar, who won the title in 1997-98, 1999-2000, 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2006-07 seasons, is well stacked in the Longines Conquest VHP Ladies maiden, where he has three runners in a huge field of 16 horses.
Dobbia is the mount of seven-time UAE Champion Jockey Tadhg O'Shea, while Mullen rides Magic Illusion. Lady Snazz is the mount of Patrick Cosgrave.
Irish Freedom is Seemar's entry in the Longines Master Collection, an eight-furlong handicap, the feature race on the card. Irish Freedom will be the mount of Mullen, who lies second in the UAE Jockeys' Championship behind O'Shea, with 33 winners.
Seemar is again triple-handed in the Longines Conquest VHP, a handicap over 1400 metres. Seemar saddles The Song Of John, Cachao and Speedy Move.
Cosgrove rides The Song Of John, Cachao is the mount of O'Shea, while Mullen will be onboard Speedy Move.
The last race of the night sees Seemar send out Immortalised, to be ridden by O'Shea.
The Longines Master Collection, the highlight of the evening sees Talento Puma carry top weight. The charge of Emirati conditioner Salem bin Ghadayer, Talento Puma had won on his previous outing at the Jebel Ali Racecourse in what was his fourth start in the UAE.
Owned by the Phoenix Ladies Syndicate, the four-year-old Equal Talent colt, had previously raced in Argentina and Xavier Ziani will on the reins.
"He faced a couple of stiff tasks on his first two starts and had not been here that long from Argentina," said Ziani.
"His third start at Meydan was a good effort and he won well at Jebel Ali. Hopefully, there is more to come," he added.
Bin Ghadayer also saddles Magnificent McCool, the mount of Fernando Jara.
