Held under the patronage of Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, the Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League 2015 (IPTL) announced its partnership with Al Jalila Foundation, a global philanthropic organisation dedicated to transforming lives through medical education and research.
The partnership entails a pledge by the Obi UAE Royals to donate a percentage from its ticket sales in the UAE to Al Jalila Foundation to support local medical research.
"We are delighted with our association with Obi UAE Royals," said said Dr. Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation.
"Sport and physical activity are essential for life-long healthy living and we are pleased that an increasing number of world class sporting events are being held in the UAE. As a not-for-profit healthcare foundation, we rely on the goodwill of the community to help fund life-saving research; we are grateful to obi UAE Royals for donating a portion of the ticket sales of the Dubai leg of IPTL to support local research."
