Former India cricketer and Chennai Super Kings star Suresh Raina will miss this season's Indian Premier League (IPL), due to personal reasons.
The 33-year-old Raina, who was with the three-time champions in Dubai, has since flown home to India, his franchise confirmed on Saturday.
"Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season," the Chennai Super Kings quoted Kasi Viswanathan, the team's CEO, on their official Twitter handle.

Raina announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, India's Independence Day, the same day as his skipper MS Dhoni, did.
The southpaw, who has featured 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20Is, in an international playing career spanning 13 years, is second on the list of most runs in the IPL. Virat Kohli heads the list with 5412 runs in 177 matches.
Raina has scored 5368 runs in 193 matches with an average of 33.34 and a strike rate of 137.14. He has scored one century and 38 half-centuries. Raina's highest score is 100 not out.
Raina, who is the first Indian batsman to score centuries in all three formats of the game, is also the first and only player to have scored over 400 runs in seven consecutive IPL seasons from 2008 to 2014.
Raina, who was the first Indian player to hit 100 sixes in the IPL, also holds the record of the most number of catches in the IPL. He has 95 catches.
This season's IPL will take place in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.
