Spain’s Jon Rahm (Legion XIII GC) closed the 2025 LIV Golf Individual season with a sensational final-round 11-under-par 60 at Chatham Hills in Indianapolis, finishing with a 54-hole total of 191 to claim the season-long Individual Standings crown.

Rahm tied for first at the Indianapolis event but lost a playoff to Sebastian Munoz. Longtime points leader Joaquin Niemann, despite winning five times in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, Virginia, and Britain, finished tied fourth and narrowly missed out on the season title by fewer than three Order of Merit points.

In a bittersweet twist, Rahm fell in the playoffs in both of the final two Individual events of the season, echoing the drama of 2024 when he similarly edged Niemann to the overall title.

“To be able to win the season without actually winning a tournament—I know eventually I will be proud of that. Right now, it’s something I’m going to suffer over a little bit more, and it may never be repeated,” Rahm said.

“You need a lot of coincidences to go exactly with the year Joaquin had. He’s won five times. He has played incredible golf. One could argue he was probably the more deserving guy to win this. But we have the points system we have and somehow—I don’t know how—I managed to pull through and get it done,” he added.

Niemann reflected on his own disappointment: “It sucks. I started playing my best golf on the back nine, which I am proud of, but at the end of the day, the putts didn’t drop, and it wasn’t enough. It’s kind of hard to swallow.”

Rahm pocketed $18 million for the season crown, with Niemann taking $8 million as runner-up and third-placed Bryson DeChambeau (Crushers GC) winning $6 million.

At the other end of the standings, veterans Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter (Majestics GC) avoided the dreaded Drop Zone, finishing just inside the top 48. Westwood birdied four of his first five holes, while Poulter matched that feat over his last five, both ending on 201. Teammate Henrik Stenson fell into 49th after narrowly missing a birdie putt on his final hole—had he holed it, Poulter would have been relegated.

Other players relegated included Andy Ogletree (HyFlyers GC), Mito Pereira (Torque GC), Yubin Jang (Iron Heads GC), Anthony Kim (Wildcard), and Frederik Kjettrup (Cleeks GC). Dubai’s Adrian Meronk (Cleeks GC) finished 17th, while Anirban Lahiri (Crushers GC) ended the season in 25th spot.

The team title at Indianapolis was claimed by Torque GC, their first win since 2023, although Rahm’s Legion XIII retains the top seed for this week’s LIV Golf Team Championship in Michigan.
