American Patrick Reed continued his red-hot start to 2026 by claiming his second DP World Tour victory in three weeks with a two-stroke win at the Qatar Masters at Doha Golf Club.

Reed, who secured his first Rolex Series title at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic before finishing runner-up at last week’s Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship, added another trophy to his collection with a composed performance under pressure.

The five-time DP World Tour winner signed for a two-under-par final-round 70 to finish on 16 under par, two shots clear of Scotland’s Calum Hill, who recorded his second consecutive runner-up finish.

Reed began the final round with a two-shot lead over Denmark’s Jacob Skov Olesen, but the gap quickly disappeared when Olesen birdied the opening hole, and Reed bogeyed the second. Finland’s Oliver Lindell soon joined the leaders and briefly moved one shot clear after a thrilling start that included six birdies and two bogeys, before making his first par at the ninth.

Lindell birdied the 11th, but consecutive three-putt bogeys opened the door once more. Reed took full advantage, birdieing both the 10th and 11th holes to regain a two-shot cushion.

Earlier in the day, Jayden Schaper set the clubhouse target with the round of the day, a bogey-free seven-under-par 65, finishing on 11 under. That mark was soon bettered by Dubai-based Johannes Veerman, who rolled in a long birdie putt at the last to post 13 under following a closing 68.

Hill mounted a strong late charge, chipping in for eagle at the 10th before firing four consecutive birdies from the 14th hole. A par at the last saw him sign for a 14-under total and briefly apply pressure to the leader.

Reed responded in champion fashion, birdieing the 14th before parring his way home to secure the fifth DP World Tour victory of his career and move into pole position on the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World.

Olesen and Veerman shared third place on 13 under, while Lindell and Dan Bradbury were joined by Ángel Ayora and Sebastian Söderberg on 12 under for a share of fifth. The top ten was completed by Schaper, Gregorio De Leo, David Micheluzzi, Antoine Rozner and Kazuma Kobori, tied on 11 under.

Three-time Major champion Pádraig Harrington marked his 500th DP World Tour appearance with a fourth straight under-par round, carding a 71 to finish the week on five under.

Speaking after his round, Reed said: “I feel amazing. This one hasn’t fully sunk in yet, but today, with how stressful the day was, and to be able to come out and kind of flip the switch around the back nine, and be able to just make par on the last hole, obviously feels amazing.

“The golf we’ve played since basically the off-season has been some stellar golf. I feel really confident in my golf game right now, and it’s always awesome to come and play the way we do, especially over here.”

Reflecting on his early-season momentum, Reed added: “This is going to allow me to take confidence going into the rest of the year, especially with the different ways I had to do it.

"I had a really comfortable lead in Dubai, and then I had to come chase it last week, and then I had to come here to regain the lead, only to lose it and then have to fight back," he added.

“I basically did it all three different ways, and for me it’s just kind of build on the great things and just move forward and look forward to the rest of the year.”

The American also reiterated his long-held ambition saying, “It’s always been a goal of mine to win the Race to Dubai, especially as an American.

“Americans have always come over and supported this Tour, and it’s always been a dream to come over and have an opportunity to win the Race to Dubai.

“This year we’re off to a good start. I know there’s a lot of the year left, but got ourselves up on top, now hopefully just continue playing some solid golf and get our chance," he concluded.

Reed now leads the Race to Dubai with 2,259.70 points and has climbed to 17th in the Official World Golf Ranking, having previously reached a career-high sixth place as the former Masters champion.

Already, Reed appears to have virtually secured a top-ten finish for the season, which would almost certainly earn him dual PGA Tour and DP World Tour status for 2027. Last year, his current points total would have been sufficient to surpass three of the players who claimed dual cards: Keita Nakajima, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Jordan Smith.

A loyal supporter of the DP World Tour, Reed continues to thrive on the global stage. In strong form and clearly enjoying his golf, the 35-year-old looks set for a compelling season ahead.
