Former UAE national football team player passes away

Ammar Al Doukhi, former player in the UAE National Football Team and Al Shaab club, has passed away, Al Khaleej, a local media outlet said on Saturday.

Al Doukhi was a well-known figure in the UAE football community who retired from sports at Al Shaab club in 2006 after a distinguished and successful career.

Upon retiring, Al Doukhi used to write analysis of football matches for Al Khaleej newspaper, which mourned him by saying: "Known for his beautiful smile and ever-cheerful demeanor, he retired from football at Al Shaab Club in 2006 after a distinguished and successful career, leaving a lasting and positive impact on everyone."
