Cricket enthusiasts in the UAE were treated to a rare and memorable experience as legendary Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq brought his elite coaching expertise to the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium from January 24 to 26.
Saqlain led an intensive three-day, spin-focused programme aimed at nurturing young cricketers from across the region.
Organised by MS YTCA in collaboration with CRICKETAAA, the initiative went beyond a conventional coaching camp, offering participants an immersive journey into the advanced art of spin bowling.
The programme blended tactical education, technical skill development, and mental conditioning, equipping young talents with the tools required to thrive in competitive cricket.

A standout feature of the camp was the exclusive one-on-one sessions with Saqlain. These personalised interactions provided invaluable insights into spin mechanics, grip control, deception techniques, and situational bowling — granting participants rare access to elite-level knowledge shaped by Saqlain’s illustrious international career.
“Spin bowling is a skill that needs courage, clarity, and control. This camp is not just about drills — it’s about teaching young bowlers how to think, plan, and perform under pressure. It’s really exciting to be in Sharjah, a venue with deep cricketing heritage, to help shape the next generation,” said Saqlain.
Shahzad Altaf, Founder of MS YTCA, highlighted the broader vision behind the initiative, saying: “This is more than coaching. It’s about creating future-ready players with strong values and technical depth. Saqlain’s presence brought unmatched value to our programme.”
According to Neha Chandra, Director of Cricketaaa, commented: "We have launched a structured Cricket Profile Repository that analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, and performance graphs of teenage cricketers in the UAE. Developed under the guidance of spin legend Saqlain Mushtaq, this initiative is designed to provide young players with data-driven insights, helping them transition from promising teenagers to disciplined, high-performance professionals in their cricketing journey.”
