India beat Bangladesh by 6 wickets in their opening match of the Champions Trophy at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Shubman Gill celebrated a century, with 101 runs from 129 balls.
Earlier, Mohammed Shami earned his first five-wicket haul since his return from injury as India restricted Bangladesh to 228 all out.
Electing to bat first, Bangladesh were in all sorts of trouble at 35 for five, thanks to early strikes from Harshit Rana (3/31), Shami (5/53) and Axar Patel (2/43).

Towhid Hridoy (100 off 118 balls) scored a fantastic hundred as the middle-order batter shared a 154-run partnership with Jaker Ali (68, 114 balls).
But the Indian bowling unit fought back to restrict Bangladesh to a below-250 score.
New Zealand beat hosts Pakistan by 60 runs in the opening match of the tournament in Karachi.
India will be playing all of their matches in Dubai.
