In 2016, Aamer produced a stunning spell in Pakistan domestic T20 League.
Defending a small total of 118 in Multan, the medium pacer destroyed the star-studded Lahore Whites top order with four wickets for just five runs.
His victims that day were Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, Salman Butt and Sikandar Raza.
But the man who grew up idolizing Wasim Akram bettered that record with four wickets in four balls against Northern Warriors.
Thanks to his unforgettable display, Bengal Tigers got off to a flying start in the second edition of the T10 League with a 36-run win over the Warriors on Thursday.
England batsman Jason Roy's 29-ball unbeaten 60 (6 fours, 3 sixes) and his 87-run partnership with West Indian Sherfane Rutherford (47 not out, 21 balls, 4 fours, 4 sixes) had already put the Tigers (130/1) in a commanding position.
Chasing 131, the Warriors were never in the hunt as Aamer wrecked them.
He dismissed Lendl Simmons (44, 28 balls, 3 fours, 4 sixes), Rovman Powell, Ravi Bopara and Hardus Vijoen in the first four balls of the ninth over, killing the match as a contest.
"This was special -- even though I have taken four wickets in a Pakistan domestic T20 match as well," Aamer told reporters at the post-match press conference at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
"In the Pakistan domestic game, I took four wickets giving away five runs. So this was the second time I have done this. This time I gave away only four runs," he added.
"It was a domestic T20 game between Fata and Lahore Whites. I was playing for Fata. That's a record in Pakistan Domestic T20 league. But to do it in four balls today was special. I am very happy."

The 28-year-old Aamer, who has played four ODIs and two T20Is for Pakistan, says his variations surprised Northern Warriors on Thursday.
"It is obviously very difficult for bowlers on this wicket. Plus, it's T10 cricket. Bowlers are always trying to save themselves from the big hitters. So it's important to bring your variations as a bowler," he said.
"I bowled a few yorkers today (Thursday). I read the batsmen's mind what they were going to do. So I bowled accordingly and it helped me today."
Aamer said he learned a lot just by watching his idol - Wasim Akram.
"He has always been my idol. I have learned a lot from him. Especially the yorkers," he said.
"It helps in shorter formats. And in T10 cricket, every batsman tries to hit every ball. So you need to bring your variations as a bowler."
With bowlers like Morne Morkel, Sunil Narine, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi in their team, the Tigers could trouble a lot of teams in this tournament.
And Aamer, who has an impressive domestic record as an all-rounder in Pakistan, says the bowling strength of the Tigers definitely gives them an edge in this tournament.
"Narine, Mujeeb, Nabi, they are all very experienced bowlers. It has helped our team. Hopefully we will continue to do well," he said.
