Raina enters second round of Open qualifiers in Dubai

Tennis has made a return and it is all set for first Slam of the year. To reach the main event, a number of talented players are battling in the Australian Open 2021 qualifiers in Dubai and Doha.

Sara Errani, Roben Anderson, Tsvetana Prironkova and Ankita Raina have advanced to the second round in Dubai on Sunday.

Raina from India eased past Hungary’s Reka-Luca Jani 6-2, 6-2 in her first round match.

The victory took the Indian closer to the Grand Slam main draw, which begins in Melbourne from February 8.

In the second round, Raina will face Ukraine’s Katarina Zavatska, who defeated Denmark’s Clara Tauson 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday.
