Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill was in hospital Friday for further tests after contracting the coronavirus, the NFL club announced.
The team said that Bidwill's condition is improving and he is expected to be released this weekend. He developed symptoms, tested positive for Covid-19 and went to the hospital on the advice of his doctor.
The 55-year-old Bidwill believes he caught the virus while travelling and spending time on the East Coast for several weeks.
The team said he hasn't had in-person contact with coaches or players.
