The Security Committee of the Asian Cup for Sharjah matches has banned fans from carrying sticks, bottles, cans, weapons and sharp materials, fireworks, lasers, perfumes, electronic and regular cigarettes inside the stadium during tournaments. The committee is responsible for applying the conditions, regulations, and standards of FIFA and AFC rules, making sure banned items do not enter the Sharjah International Stadium during matches. The move has come as part of the Sharjah Police General Command's keenness to provide the highest standards of safety and security for the emirate's sporting process to achieve excellence and creativity in the organisational aspects of the international tournaments to be held in the country. The committee also bans the use of loudspeakers and horns (except with official permission), batteries and cameras, as well as smoking, eating and drinking inside the stadium. The Sharjah Police praised the cooperation of the sports fans with the organising committee and urges them to adhere to the rules and regulations.
