The girls have been going through tough three-week conditioning and training camp under watchful eyes of former Indian women’s player Kalpana Venkatchar.
The camp was held in at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and girls have trained hard to get ready for the tournament in Kuwait.
Coach Kalpana says keeping in mind the hardwork done by the girls, they stand a good chance in Kuwait. The players are mostly from UAE schools and Aysha Naushadkhan (aged 13) is the youngest player in the squad.
The ACC holds this tournament after every two years.
The 10-day event, will be represented by China, Iran, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Kuwait and UAE.
