The UAE faces India in a make or break match of the AFC Asian Cup at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Their opening match against Bahrain ended in a 1-1 draw and the home team needs maximum points from today's clash to advance smoothly to the knockout stage.
And the UAE players have urged fans to turn up in numbers to boost their confidence in this crucial encounter.
"Indians are expected to enjoy the support of their large community in the UAE. We are counting on our fans in this important game," UAE defender Fares Juma said.
Tickets for this mouth-watering clash are nearly sold out.
However, the UAE Football Association has purchased 5,000 tickets and is distributing it for free at Sheikh Zayed Mosque from 4pm today.
This is done to bring as many fans as possible to the stadium and support the home team.
