At S P Jain School of Global Management, the youngest globally-ranked business school in the world, we are asking the same question every day: What are the requirements that the future puts in front of us? How do we prepare students for the forthcoming years?

The world is unpredictable. Nowadays, we are preparing students for jobs that do not yet exist, using the technologies that have not been invented, in order to solve the problems yet not perceived.

Five years ago, it was impossible to imagine that the profession of a "Blockchain Specialist" will even exist. Ten years ago, Social Media Managers were just enthusiasts and early pioneers. But today, these professions are a reality. So, how can we predict what professions will be on the table in the next ten years and at the same time how can we prepare students for the next 40 years of their successful careers?

We have understood an important point - thinking and acting "outside the box" is a prerequisite for any disruption, invention or innovation. This requires three core elements: knowledge, real-world smart skills, and global intelligence. Knowledge has become global and broadly available. Only 20 years ago, students would spend hours and hours in the libraries, searching journals for articles and scientific conclusions.

Today, Google and database search will provide you with all published relevant literature within seconds, and almost everyone knows what to search and how to search. Hence, real-world smart skills and global intelligence make the difference, and we are working towards developing these two.

S P Jain School of Global Management became a top-ranked business school, thanks to the power to encourage students to explore ideas and concepts beyond limits. How are we doing this? The learning takes place at three global hubs: Dubai, Singapore and Sydney.

Where could you get a global exposure to the world, its innovations and business trends any better than this? If you are a top performer in academics, you can even enrich your experience by doing student exchange programmes with top universities in Germany, Canada, Spain and United States. The international cohort of students is an important aspect as well - They come from all continents and regions: Middle East, Europe, Americas, South-East Asia, CIS, Africa etc. The same applies for faculty members - The faculty come from India, Italy, UK, France, Poland, USA, Australia and the likes. Such a unique exposure makes a student understand global trends, experience different cultures, mindsets and business settings and helps them become adaptable and courageous global citizens, who are ready to transfer and use this gained knowledge ?and expertise, in a rapidly evolving context.

At S P Jain School of Global Management, we believe that real-world skills development is a never-ending process. Basic knowledge will just be a foundation to prepare for the future leadership: responsibility, self-assurance, independence and accountability need to be developed as a core dimension of leadership skills. We have replaced "Chalk-and-Board" experiences with simulations, case studies, real industry experiences, and smart classrooms.

In our campuses learning is personalised: there are special ELC (Engaged Learning Classrooms) all around, and they are unique in the world. By bringing students in touch with real-life situations and by exchanging thoughts with leading faculty members and industry professionals, we are making them future-ready. Such practices are done at all levels: undergraduate programmes, postgraduate programmes, doctoral studies and even summer schools that we are organising for young leaders and future business disruptors.

Yes, Times Higher Education and Wall Street Journal have ranked S P Jain School of Global Management's programmes #4 in the world (in particular, our flagship MBA programme). We want to go even further and rank even better. We learn from our industry partners, from our students and from our success stories that we want to become #1 in the world. You can find S P Jain alumni in Google, Facebook, DHL, Deloitte, Microsoft, and hundreds of other global companies. You can even look around and see numerous innovative and highly successful start-ups created by S P Jain students and alumni: we are constantly supporting any disruptive and innovative initiatives.

Although S P Jain is an Australia-accredited business school, our recognition, values, campuses, faculty and students are global. We are crafting global business leaders, empowering you with the knowledge, developing your skills and embedding the courage and mindset to get to the top. This is the story of our historical success.
