World Gold Council reiterates that fundamentals for the metal remain strong despite record high prices
Indian Consul-General Aman Puri on Thursday visited Al Maya’s newly-opened supermarket in Ras Al Khaimah at the Al Hamra, Al Jazeera area, where he was welcomed by Kamal Vachani, group director of Al Maya Group.
The branch is Al Maya's first in Ras Al Khaimah, with Puri appreciating the availability of a large variety of Indian products at the outlet.
“Al Maya is playing a key role in serving the Indian diaspora in the UAE with a strong network of supermarkets across the UAE," he added.
On the occasion, Vachani told the diplomat that Al Maya imports a large number of products, including fresh vegetables and fruits from India, to serve its customers. Vachani also thanked Puri for his visit.
Al Maya Supermarket is one of the leading and trusted supermarket chain in the UAE, with multi-format stores serving a sizeable number of customers for more than 35 years, enjoying a sizeable share of the UAE retail market.
Vachani said Al Maya offers convenience-oriented services such as parking spaces, free home delivery and 24/7 operations. Among the Indian brands represented are India Gate, MTR, Society and Pillsbury, among several others.
