Popular supermarket and hypermarket chain LuLu has announced a special bonus for their staff members across the world for the Year of Zayed. The group will distribute Dh32 million to their 41,893 employees around the world.

"This will be a special Eid gift and all employees from all religious and national backgrounds will receive the special bonus. Sheikh Zayed never discriminated among his people and that is a philosophy we also follow," Yusuffali MA, chairman and managing director of LuLu, told Khaleej Times.

"I want all of my employees to remember Sheikh Zayed and pray for him. He is widely regarded as the icon of benevolence and generosity, whose legacy of peace, communal harmony and social service is still very much appreciated around the world. There can’t be a better time than Ramadan to spread Sheikh Zayed's message, especially in the Year of Zayed. This is our humble effort in that direction,” said the UAE-based Indian billionaire.
