If you really crave vegetarian food, Venus Restaurant in Karama is the best place for your appetite. At Venus, there is much more than lip-smacking food; it is the special feeling of being at home and trying a palate of your great choice.
P Vasudev Bhat, the proprietor, is primarily a man who has lived with the passion of vegetarian food. He has to his credit a number of restaurants in Dubai, including Venus Hamba Restaurant, Venus Deluxe and Emirates House Restaurant in several nook and corners of Dubai.
Vasudev ventured into the food business as he worked as an accountant in Oman. In 1981, he opened his first restaurant in Muscat, and since then there has been no looking back. He says he loves to cater South and North Indian desi vegetarian food, and his menu is a special select of recipes that are mouth-watering.
"Our dishes are 100 per cent vegetarian, and is an exclusive treat for people who are exclusively vegetarian," he proudly boasts.
While he hails from Mangalore, he has picked a number of local dishes including Mangalore Bonda and Dun. Some of the worth-mentioning specialities at Venus are: Gobi Manchurian, Sambar, Chatni, Paneer Chilli Dosa, Idli, and last but not least, South Indian sweets.
"Our quality is pure and the taste is incomparable," Vasudev remarks, adding that a large number of people frequent at his restaurants because for them it is a memorable-nostalgic diet.
While Dubai and the UAE has a large South Indian population, vegetarian specialities are greater in demand. This is the prime factor behind opening a chain of restaurants, and Vasudev says it has been a great experience.
"I'm confident in my quality. For me, I am to serve the taste that people love when it comes to vegetarian food. I try to put in the best of ingredients, and make it a complete delicious meal," he observed
South Indian breakfast is quite famous at Hamba and Venus outlets, and one could see people queuing for their turn.
Hop on for a breakfast or a formal vegetarian meal at Venus Restaurant.
You will be rest assured of ambience and taste!
