A Chinese woman aboard a Xiamen Air jet opened the emergency exit of the plane moments before take-off because she felt too "stuffy".
The incident happened on Monday aboard a plane flying from Wuhan, in China's Hubei Province, to Lanzhou in Gansu, and caused passengers a delay of one hour.
The video of the incident filmed by another passenger shows the woman explaining the cabin crew that "she felt too stuffy" and she needed "some fresh air".

According to reports in RT, the woman had opened the emergency door in spite of the cabin crew asking her to not touch the button that opens the hatch. Appearing to be in her 50s, the woman was removed from the plane and taken into police custody for questioning. It is unclear whether she will face any charges.
In a similar incident in June, a passenger on a flight from Manchester to Islamabad opened the emergency door thinking it was the restroom.
While a month before that, in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong, an elderly passenger opened the emergency door while the plane was on the tarmac and was detained for 10 days.
