Video: Man in coma for 5 years wakes up because of wife's 20-hour care

Doctor said that Li could wake up only because of his wife who never gave up.

It was a miracle for Zhang Guihan from China when her husband woke up from coma after five years all because of her round-the-clock care and dedication.
Li Zhihua, from Xiangyang in China, slipped into a coma in 2013 after sustaining serious brain injuries in a traffic accident. He stayed in comatose state since the tragic accident and could not respond to anything, Li's doctor, Dr. Wan Qing'an, said.
The doctor said that Li could wake up only because of his wife who never gave up on her daily routine to tend to him and always stayed next to his bed 20 hours a day. She would often chat with him and play his favourite songs, the doctor said.

Adding that Zhang Guihan's actions paved the way for Li's recovery, Dr. Wan revealed that Li's wife would feed him carefully by putting food into his month and then gently pressing his tongue to let him know that he could eat. Dr. Wan added these  things proved to be helpful to stimulate Li's nervous system and he finally woke up from coma.
However, all this took a toll his wife's health and she lost 10kg weight. But Zhang Guihan is not worried about her health as her dedication and love finally paid off, reported Scoop Whoop.
