Dubai - A 6.3-magnitude earthquake rocked the town of Bodega in the Philippines.

A video captures terrifying moment a skyscraper sways due to an earthquake, causing water from its rooftop pool to pour down 53 floors. The video was filmed on Monday when a 6.3-magnitude earthquake rocked the town of Bodega in the Philippines.
The building in the video, Anchor Skysuites, is one of the tallest apartment blocks in the city, standing at 181mts with 53 floors, Newshub quoted The Daily Mail reports.

The video was posted to Twitter and has since left netizens shocked as it shows the rooftop pool turning into a massive waterfall pouring down from one side of the building.
The earthquake killed eight people and left several injured. A young girl and her grandmother were killed when a wall in their house in Lubao town in Pampanga, fell on them. While another two people were killed when a four-storey building with a supermarket on the ground floor collapsed in nearby Porac town in the same province.

Extensive damage across the region has been reported with parts of Manila worse affected, said provincial Governor Lilia Pineda. The Philippines is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where about 90 per cent of the world's earthquakes strike.
The last major quake to hit the country was a 7.1-magnitude tremor that killed over 220 people in the central Philippines in October 2013.
