Video: Rainbow appears over Makkah amid heavy rains

Parts of the Kingdom faced inclement weather on Sunday.

A rainbow appeared over Saudi's Makkah region amidst the rainy weather that the Kingdom faced on Sunday.
In a video shared by the Makkah Region's official Twitter handle, a handle appeared over the skies of Raniyah City. The 30-second video captures the meteorological phenomenon adding some colour to the overcast skies.

Earlier, parts of the Kingdom had also encountered heavy rain and hail blanketing the road. In a video posted on Instagram, a man is seen stopping his vehicle to record the hail blanketing the road in Saudi's Tabuk - giving it a snowy look, the cloudy sky and the water flooding on the side of the road.

Roads to Jebel Jais closed due to bad weather
The UAE has also faced inclement weather conditions in the past days. Khaleej Times reported that rain and sandstorm on Sunday led to the closure of certain landmarks such as Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah and Global Village in Dubai. Following the unstable weather, the UAE Ministry of Interior has issued a 7-point weather advisory to its residents.
